The new year brings us the opportunity to start fresh and set resolutions. If your resolution is to save money, Clark County REMC is here to help! Providing our members with the tools to make the most out of their dollars spent on electricity is our top priority.

We offer a variety of ways to help you save. Here are just a few:

  • Heat pump rebates: If you replace an old heat pump with a new heat pump or replace your electric heating system with a heat pump, you could receive a rebate. Go to: theremc.com/rebates.
  • Appliance recycling program: We offer free pickup and recycling of your old, inefficient working refrigerators and freezers. You’ll save approximately $150 per year, per appliance, in energy costs and receive a $50 rebate, per recycled appliance. Go to: theremc.com/fridge.

Clark County REMC recently held its annual service awards program. Receiving awards were, back row, from left, Kevin Moore, 15 years; Larry Edwards, 20 years; and Derek Coombs, 10 years.
Front row, from left, Director Steve Dieterlen, 10 years; Amanda Koerber, 5 years; Cindy Hockensmith, 10 years; and Mark Sutherland, 20 years.

  • Instant rebates at the LED online store: Our online store offers instant savings of 75 percent off retail pricing and ships to your home for free. Go to: theremc.com/lighting.
  • Great prices on water heaters. Let us help you save money on your water heater purchase. The REMC offers standard and hybrid water heaters with the option for REMC to install for you or for you to pick up and install yourself. Pricing can be added to your monthly billing statement to help. Go to: theremc.com/waterheaters.

When you have questions about energy efficiency, electrical service or any of our products or services, just ask us. Drop in and see us, give us a call, or send us an email. We’re always glad to hear from you.
