Steuben County REMC is a member-owned electric cooperative headquartered in Angola, Indiana. As a cooperative, Steuben County REMC follows seven core principles that are universal to cooperatives worldwide. Among those principles is one stressing education, training and information. Electric Consumer, a monthly magazine published especially for Indiana’s electric cooperative members, is one way the REMC informs and educates its members. Electric Consumer is available not only in a print format, but as an electronic publication for those who prefer getting their information on their electronic devices.

Lineman risk injury to themselves and damage to their equipment, rubber gloves, boots and protective clothing when items are posted on poles. Keep utility poles free of signs and fliers. Don’t post birdhouses, balloons and especially anything with staples, tacks or nails.
