Star Bright!

kidornament.jpgPiece together this sparkling ornament

Honor the shining stars in your life — family members, teachers, coaches, 4-H leaders, etc. — by making them star-shaped ornaments for Christmas. You’ll need jigsaw puzzle pieces which you can take from old puzzles that have missing pieces already. We were able to buy a 300 piece puzzle from the dollar store so we’ll be able to make LOTS of ornaments to give to our favorite people!

For each ornament, you’ll need:
• Six jigsaw puzzle pieces
• Gold glitter glue pen
• Craft glue
• 5-inch strand of embroidery floss

To make:
Paint each puzzle piece with the glitter glue pen and let dry. Once the puzzle pieces are dry, arrange five of the pieces on top of one piece in a star shape. Glue each of the five pieces onto the central puzzle piece and let dry thoroughly. Turn the star over. Fold the embroidery floss in half and glue the two ends onto the backside of the ornament to make the ornament’s hanger. Let dry. This ornament also makes a great package tie-on.
